Diabetes – You can live with it, Or deal to it, Its about choices

Diabetes is a terrible disease and is in my family as my Dad suffers from it and so do I. For me it was something I didnt want to admit and especially knowing that it is to a large degree “self inflicted”. I decided once I came out of that denial stage and can actually say freely I am a Diabetic that I could easily live with Diabetes, controlled with medication and probably die of complications caused by Diabetes or I could face my Fear Face to Face and Deal with it. I decided as I am somewhat stubborn and really dont like to be controlled to deal with it.

I have put together and will share with you what I have used to combat this terrible disease. It isnt easy but who said life was easy, but it sure is satisfying knowing your health can be in your own hands and you can deal to the disease that inflicts your boody.

I use a combination of Smoothies, Alkaline Ionised Water, GNLD Nutritional Supplements and excercise. I have already posted my favourite breakfast smoothie. So watch this space for some more interesting and easy recepies in the fight against Diabetes.

My Favourite Breakfast Smoothie (diabetes control)

This smoothie is really good for controlling blood sugar levels and WOW what a way tp start the day!

300mls of Alkaline Water, 4 or 5 cubes of ice, Appox 5cm of Bitter Melon, 1/2 Telegraph Cucumber, Fresh Ginger about the size of your thumb, 1/2 Lime with the green skin removed but leave the Pith-this is good for you. Blend this in your blender with 1 scoop of protein powder.

I reccomend the IsoMax – Zero Carb – Zero Fat – Zero Sugar – Lactose Free as a protein powder of choice.
